GapOnly^® has transformed the claims process by enabling your eligible claims to be assessed and approved while you are still at the vet. The vet lodges the claim electronically and it is usually assessed in around 10 minutes^. Then you just pay “the gap” – the difference between the vet’s invoice and the claim benefit under your policy.

How to make a GapOnly^®  claim

GapOnly^® claims can be processed at any stage of the pet treatment process:

Pre-approval
Your vet can request a pre-approval on your behalf for the proposed conditions and procedure, to ensure it’s covered under your pet insurance policy.

Pre-discharge
Your vet can submit a GapOnly^® claim on your behalf, ahead of you picking up your pet after treatment.

On the spot
Your vet can lodge the GapOnly^® claim on your behalf while you’re still at the clinic, and it’s assessed within 10 minutes^.

GapOnly^® service availability

A GapOnly^® claim can be processed during (AEST, excluding  NSW public holidays):

• Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
• Saturday 8:00am – 5:00 pm

When GapOnly^® isn’t available, your vet may be able to submit an electronic pet insurance claim (or an eClaim) instead.
