Located just off the A3 in Hampshire, Old Thorns Hotel & Resort is 30 minutes north of Portsmouth, and 40 minutes east of Winchester. It's roughly a 90-minute drive from central London, and the train from London to Liphook takes approximately one hour and 20 minutes. From Liphook station, it’s a short 10-minute taxi ride to the hotel.

Old Thorns Hotel & Resort is located in the heart of the English countryside, on the borders between Hampshire, Sussex and the South Downs National Park. This rural location means there are plenty of beautiful country walks just a short distance from the hotel, and bike paths are also in abundance. The historic town of Winchester is a short drive away, with its medieval castle and cathedral waiting to be explored.

If you fancy a spot of shopping, hop in the car and head down to Portsmouth to visit Gunwharf Keys, and while you’re there, whizz up to the top of the Spinnaker Tower for outstanding views over the Isle of Wight and the English Channel.
