LikedEverything! This is one of the best hotels in Portugal, and positive the hotel with better staff. It's unbelivable the staff effort to make us feel at home. And that's how we felt! The food, the live músic, the room, the increbidle swimming pool, the walking tour with Rodrigo!

LikedA beautiful and well decorated place. Staff was very attentive (even though clearly, more staff is needed at the restaurant) Food was very good.

LikedWell kept and spacious.

DislikedThere was only heat in all the property. We had to sleep with the balcony door open to be able to breathe. During dinner, other guest were taking theirs clothes off in order to withstand the heat. An abomination.

DislikedThe room was dirty, the staff was unprepared: they didn't even help me with my bags at checkout. The fitness room has been under renovation for over 1 year. Pillows and bed horribles.

LikedThe location and the views are outstanding. The hotel offers an afternoon tea which is a big bonus. The guided walks they provide are nice to do — we made two different routes on two different days and both were wonderful.

DislikedI found the service at the restaurant veeeery slow. For example, I asked for the milk for my coffee; at the time the milk arrived, my coffee was almost cold already. The quantity of food (not the quality!) offered on the main table was very small so the plates become empty very quickly, especially when several people arrive at breakfast at the same time. The hotel replenished the plates, of course, but sometimes it took, again, so much time! We booked sauna for 12h00. At 12h17 it was cold (switched off). So I had to go and ask what was wrong. They just forgot to switch it on. Not an issue, of course, we still managed to go to sauna, but we had to wait till it gets heated. If the sauna requires booking, shouldn't it be ready to easy at the time booked? The towels in the sauna area were missing on the first day. Of course, you can ask and they give the towels, but.....when you pay 600€ per night, you expect that the towels are always available (without asking).
